Built in 1668, the Gouda Cheese Weighing House offers a fascinating glimpse into the region’s cheese trade history. The ground floor, now fully wheelchair accessible, features a charming gift shop where you can purchase authentic Gouda cheese, artisanal varieties, cheese slicers, and classic Dutch souvenirs.
On the second floor, a museum showcases the traditional process of weighing and trading Gouda cheese, as well as other local products. With the addition of bright yellow ramps, accessibility has been greatly improved, allowing visitors with limited mobility to enjoy this unique and historic Dutch experience.
