Rent a beach wheelchair

Rent a beach wheelchair in the Netherlands! There are several options to rent a beach wheelchair during your stay. Prices includes renting, delivery and pick-up.

If more than two mobility equipments are booked, the total price will be less. In this case the transport costs will be calculated only once.

You receive a € 10,- discount on your mobility equipment when your accommodation is booked through Accessible Travel Netherlands as well.
Please indicate which mobility equipment you need when you send the travel proposal form.

The minimal period to rent a beach wheelchair is one week.

Please inform your accommodation about the delivery of the equipment and provide them with the name you booked the accommodation and equipment with.

Make sure a person at the accommodation can receive and store the equipment. If you are staying at an apartment, the owners are not always present, make sure they are when the equipment is delivered. If there is no one available to accept the equipment, the driver will not deliver.

Last minute requests
In order to be guaranteed to have your equipment delivered at your accommodation, reserve latest 5 workdays in advance.

For last minute requests received 72 hours before delivery (3 working days) an additional fee of € 20,- will be charged. When you send a request less than 72 hours in advance, we cannot guarantee delivery, but we will try our best!

Mobility equipment cannot be delivered on Sundays or national holidays.

The first option is to hire a Hippocampe beach wheelchair at a specific location (your hotel or camping site for example). You can hire a beach wheelchair for a minimum of a week. However, if you are staying at an accommodation where you can store the chair, you can rent it for less days (but for the minimum price of a week).

One week: € 229,-
Two weeks: € 371,-
Three weeks: € 455,-
The beach wheelchair can be collected in Goirle (Noord-Brabant).

We could also provide the rentals of other types of beach wheelchairs, but the prices will be different. These other beach wheelchairs are the Jutter and Wombat.

The second option is, to call one of the locations that have a beach wheelchair available to rent. There are many beach wheelchairs stored at restaurants along the Dutch coastline. Many of these locations are listed in our beach wheelchairs brochure. This brochure dates from 2104 and for this reason, we would also like to refer to a list that stays updated throughout the year. At the majority of locations it's free to borrow a beach wheelchair, but you will have to pay a small bond. The beach wheelchairs are available in Spring and Summer.
